The History of the MotorHome

MotorHome front pic - CostForFreedom.USThe history of the MotorHome, or CostForFreedom.US, started in late August of 2024 because of a video with Jelly Roll, “Country Roads,” filmed in Big Bear Lake, California.

As it turns out, the video team for Jelly Roll was scouting locations for their shoot and decided to scout Big Bear. The team found two primary locations: a hotel named Black Forest Inn and E and R Automotive in Big Bear.

The reason for picking E and R Automotive was that, as the scout team was driving by, they saw my 1951 restored Willys Jeep in the parking lot and decided that was a great prop look for the song “Country Roads.”

I did not know that my truck was part of the video until a few days later when the manager of the Black Forest Inn was driving by my house and saw me washing the truck. He asked me if the truck was mine and if I knew it was in the video.

As we started discussing the video, he asked me if the truck could be used as part of a promotion for a 9/11 event in Big Bear and was working to get Jelly Roll to attend as part of a public service for Big Bear.

The more we discussed this idea, I mentioned I owned a property in Fawnskin that was made into a park by Shirley Jones (Partridge Family sitcom in the 70s).

It was decided that we would try to get Jelly Roll back to Big Bear and have a 9/11 event at Fawn Park in Fawnskin on 9/11.

I then decided that it would be a great time, because of the potential media coverage and exposure, to also have a “soft” Donald Trump presidential launch.

The more I thought about the park and the potential, I decided to incorporate my 45-foot, 12-foot-high MotorHome that was sitting idle in my warehouse.

Now the mission became how to display a Trump 2024 banner or something similar on the side of the MotorHome.

The more I thought about it, the clearer it became that this display on the MotorHome needed to have a big presentation and meaningful content.

I started working on the layout in mid-August. I contacted a company, Platinum Wraps in San Bernardino, and discussed how long it would take once I came up with the theme for the MotorHome. Rick told me that it would take a minimum of two to three weeks.

I needed to decide fast on the layout and decided that it needed to be about people who were shot or killed while expressing their freedom of speech rights under the First Amendment.

As you can see from the photos, I decided on the following: an American Eagle on the front — a powerful symbol of freedom; Donald Trump with his fist raised during his first rally in Pennsylvania, with three F-22 Raptor jets that represent three words Trump said after he was shot — “fight, fight, fight” — and below him “Make America Great Again”; John F. Kennedy in Dallas just minutes before he was assassinated, below him “Ask what you can do for your country”; Martin Luther King giving his speech in Washington, DC, at the Washington Memorial, below him “I have a dream”; the raising of the American flag in Iwo Jima; the Constitution on the back, along with “We the People” and another American bald eagle.

On the front driver’s quarter panel are the Twin Towers with “Never Forget 9/11,” and on the passenger-side door, Neil Armstrong stepping out on the moon for the first time in the history of man.

The design was now ready to be printed and wrapped on the MotorHome.

The wrap started about the first week of September and needed to be completed by 9/10, one day before the 9/11 event in Fawnskin.

The planning was moving along when a massive fire broke out in the San Bernardino National Forest and all the main roads were closed.

The only way to access Big Bear/Fawnskin was from the back side of the mountain, a very narrow and steep drive. Because of the size of the MotorHome, I decided that to chance going there was not in the best interest of safety.

The 9/11 event in Fawnskin was canceled.

MotorHome bus insideI picked up the MotorHome on time on 9/10 and was invited to an event in Corona to watch the Harris/Trump debate. I was then invited to the City of Corona 9/11 memorial event, then the 9/11 memorial event at the Richard Nixon Library, and then another 9/11 evening event in the Corona area.

As word circulated about the MotorHome and the message on its sides, calls started coming in wanting the MotorHome to make appearances.

Next stop: Trump Golf Course in Palos Verdes, CA.

At this event, Donald Trump was able to see for the first time this massive tribute to America with his likeness on it.

For the next few weeks, the MotorHome traveled at people’s request through the Orange County area and was an instant hit.

I wanted to attend another Trump event in the area, but there was not a lot of information available, as his events were being disclosed at the last minute because of the attempted assassination on July 13, 2024, in Butler, PA.

It came to my attention that Donald Trump was going to be back in Butler for a rally in early October 2024. I became aware of this from a friend during dinner on a Monday. I was told that the coming Saturday he would be in Butler, PA.

I decided that the MotorHome should also be at that event.

I called my brother Ed Tuesday morning and asked if he could help me drive to PA. We met in Las Vegas, NV, on Wednesday, October 1st, and left for PA around 2:00 pm. We drove straight to Butler, PA, and arrived on Friday, October 3rd, for the Saturday event on October 4th.

The response to the MotorHome as we drove across America was incredible. Of course, there were setbacks — the driver’s-side window coming apart, losing air brakes — just among the few setbacks. Nothing was going to stop us.

Upon arrival, our air brakes quit completely, and we had to find a workaround and bypass the system so we could continue to operate.

The event was massive, with over 60,000 people in attendance (the press stated a few thousand).

Many press interviews were done, and again Donald Trump was able to see the MotorHome as he drove into the event.

From that point began the year and two months of traveling all across the country, visiting places and doing things people dream of.

Meeting every walk of life. Videos of people with Trump derangement syndrome.

It’s amazing how the “left,” peace-loving, nonviolent people can be so vile.

If you agree with their thoughts and thinking, you are a nice person. If you disagree — watch out. Hate, violence, destruction, and utter contempt for your rights as an American.

Realizing that most of the country was tired of the lies from corrupt government officials, the press, and local institutions, both public and private.

When Donald Trump was elected, the number of people who told me “it’s like Christmas” and “we can breathe and live again” without crazy policies, men in women’s sports or restrooms, massive fraud, insider trading — the list never ends as to the corruption and lies.

On Sept 10, 2025, while in Connecticut, Charlie Kirk was assassinated in Utah at a college, doing what the country needed — providing truths and guidance to college students.

This started my journey back to California to attend the memorial in Arizona and go by Turning Point USA.

I decided on September 18th, 2025, to drive cross-country for the event on the 21st.

Again, I called my brother Ed and asked if he could help me drive for those few days. He flew into Cleveland, and we drove straight to the Arizona event.

Prior to leaving the NY area, I had Charlie Kirk added to the side of the MotorHome as a remembrance for his courage and how he changed the outcome of Trump being elected the 47th President of the United States of America.

Once back in California, the MotorHome had a few additions to the side of it: Robert Kennedy Sr., Abraham Lincoln, Vietnam, WWII, and the First Responders flag.

All of this to continue to promote freedom of speech and our rights as FREE Americans, regardless of whether people agree with who you voted for.

More to come 🙂
